CLANCY & PEPPER

Original story, Apr 2019: Clancy & Pepper are a bonded pair whose elder owner could no longer care for them. They are well-adjusted, well-loved, happy & outgoing "pups" whose owner must have loved them very much. Clancy is 8-yrs (b.7/17/2010) and Pepper just turned 7-yrs (b.3/28/2012), both healthy, UTD on vax, microchipped and spayed/neutered. We're still getting to know them but initial assessment is great temperaments, happy & friendly, outgoing, housebroken and crate trained. They need work on leash pulling and door dashing. They ride well in the car and do well with other dogs, including at doggie daycare. (Thank you to The House of Hounds in Boise for letting Clancy & Pepper come to daycare!) .

May 2019: Clancy & Pepper found the home of their dreams with Tori & Tricia in beautiful CO. Sadly, within 2 weeks of arriving at her new home, Pepper was diagnosed with an aggressive and inoperable cancer and Tori & Tricia had to make one of the hardest decisions we ever have to make. It doesn't take long to fall in love and we can't thank you enough for being there for Pepper and doing the right thing in letting her go and not extend her suffering. We have to believe Pepper knew what she was doing holding out long enough to make it to CO where she could pass knowing she was well-loved and that Clancy would be cared for. She did a good job of hiding it because she saw several vets for vaccines and spay and none of us along the way had a clue to look for anything out of the ordinary.

Clancy is reportedly adjusting well and having Sadie, another 7-yr old vizsla in the home, has been helpful.
