Lucy and Cooper came through the rescue program in high speed style. A local breeder had not been able to sell all their pups and we checked with our homes and found two willing to take on these darling girls. We picked them up on September 18th on a six hour round trip drive. When we got home, they got a bath and nail trim, new collars, and were ready to meet their public. Cooper went home the same night and Lucy's mom came to get her in a 10 hour round trip drive on Sunday.
Paige had been fostering dogs for our program and was waiting for the right female to come along. While she did not have a puppy in mind she decided she was up for the challenge, the potty training, the chewing, and the obedience training. Orbit the cat would have been much happier to be the only animal in the house but Lucy is persistent in her efforts to get that "weird" dog to play with her. Lucy has already claimed the best soft spots in the house and is adjusting just fine to living in high style and having mom wait on her hand and foot. Be a good little comedian Lucy as well as an expert hiking companion!
June 2007: Lucy got a new little brat brother this year when they adopted Mack.
