POLLY (was IVY)
Tyson, Polly (Ivy), Badger (Snap) and Sofie (Daisy) came into rescue via a local breeder. Their tails are docked too short and they have no AKC papers but who cares when you are as cute and this gang. The troop spent some time with the Dowdells while they had a chance to grow up to 8-9 weeks old. Puppies should not be sent home at 6 weeks old! The group got their names in part from the flowers they destroyed and carried around the yard. They had a ball and learned quickly to go out and play and dig and chase the big dogs. These puppies were all well socialized, fearless, and charmers from the first day.
Polly was the third to leave home. She came via a referral from Sofie and her humans. Sofie was out on a walk in the neighborhood with mom and a couple riding their bikes along just had to stop and say hello. Dylan and Stacy were familiar with the breed becasue they are friends with Jack, Monty & Cedar and, of course, contacted us when they also knew that another puppy was still in need of an active home. Polly has a big sister in Lucy who seems to love her little sister and is not at all bothered being a dog pillow herself!
Oct 2007: Polly is doing great. She is a pistol but a lover. Polly adores lucy as you will see in the attached pictures. She loves treats and food. Loves water, loves our daily hikes. She still hates her crate. loves our laps. Loves going to McCall. She is beautiful though. Just a specimen. She pointed some quail the other day and I think she will be a great bird dog. We adore her and I think she has settled in and really loves her home here too.
