PRINCE (NOW OLI)
Prince was adopted through Cathy at Petmatchers. She thanked Vizsla Rescue for posting this boy and said that his new family was one of the best adoptees that she has ever encountered. Both were attentive and loving and Prince did not even look back.
Below is the story that was originally posted:
The dog was taken from the Mesquite, Nevada, shelter the latter part of July and is currently located in St. George, UT. Approximate age is 1-1/2 years. The dog was released to the shelter by the owner who said he was a purebred Vizsla and he does have the red nose and eyes but he could be a Vizsla mix. The name on the cage was Prince. He is neutered and current on his shots. He is social with all age groups. He tends to buddy up more with female dogs, however he is very good natured with other males as long as he is the dominant male. His coloring and looks are apparent in the photos. He is by nature a hunting dog and therefore chases cats and birds. He is crate trained and travels well but may not be housebroken.

He picks up on that really well but then the puppy part kicks in and he just wants to play. We feel very fortunate to have found you and Cathy and Oli. We will be leaving next week for Oklahoma City for a few days - another new adventure for him. He travels very well in the horse trailer. He is much too big for the truck. On 9/28 we took him to our vet for the rabies shot and he weighed 62 lbs. I am certain he has gained 10 lbs. since then. He is looking good and his coat is now turning reddish as it should. We have a real treasure!
